I was honored recently to deliver the keynote address at Skyline College’s ECE/EU graduation ceremony, for early childhood educators earning their AA degree.

Much of my work – particularly regarding inclusion – focuses on the body: using physical regulation as a way of decoding and organizing the learning experience.

Now that I am making a living observing and advising other teachers, I am struck by how different a preschool classroom looks when you see it from the outside.

When I consult with schools about inclusion, I’m a voice for change. And teachers generally feel uncomfortable about change. Why?
